BoycottLinks.org: How to share sub-sets:


I've tried to construct BoycottLinks to be a useful resource for anyone trying to help a group of people or just a friend understand what is going on with the Boycott talk. Because of the news coverage many people have heard the word but don't have a clear understanding.

You may wish to share links from BoycottLinks by email or on a discussion board. If so, you can use special links to this site which will display only a sub-set of the database. Just copy the links below as-is, or construct your own variation as explained. (click on the samples to see the result in a new window) A second option allows you to choose links one by one and create a multiple bookmark to send to others.

To display all links from a particular domain, construct the link with dom=DOMAIN where DOMAIN is the main body of the domain name two examples follow

To display all links from a particular category, construct the link with cat=CATEGORY where CATEGORY is one of the following: "altvenue", "social", "msnews", "advocacy", "groups", "blogs"

Major News Articles http://BoycottLinks.org?cat=msnews
The following link will automatically sort the datbase so that the most visited links are shown first

You may also construct a link which will return only records with a certain word or phrase in the headline or description

With "seller" in the title http://BoycottLinks.org?vu=seller


A second method of sharing links is provided. This options allows you to compile list of favorite links then send a single shortcut (composite link) link to a friend or post in a discussion. The following steps are required:
Step 1. Enter a name or nickname and your email address then turn on "bookmark" view to display selection boxes next to each link. Name
Email
Step 2. return to the Main Links Page and check off the sites you wish to add to your list. When selection is complete, click the process button at the bottom of the page to receive the link to your list by email.

Alternately, once activated, the system will remember which links you have visited. After surfing, you may choose favorite links from this subset.
